What is the Brevet and why preparation matters
The Brevet is the official exam taken by Lebanese students at the end of Grade 9. It tests the whole Grade 9 programme, so the best preparation is steady work through the year: understand each chapter, practise typical questions, sit timed tests and go back to the chapters where marks are lost. EduRise is built around exactly that cycle.

A simple Brevet revision method
- Follow the school order. Revise each chapter on EduRise the week it is taught; read the lesson, then do the practice set.
- Test under time. Take the chapter exam (20 questions, timed). Aim for 80% before moving on.
- Fix what you missed. Use “Fix my mistakes” and flashcards for the questions you got wrong; check the progress map for red chapters.
- Mock exams in the final months. Sit one full mock per subject per week, review every answer, and repeat weak chapters.

Brevet preparation – FAQ
What is the Brevet?
The Brevet (الشهادة المتوسطة) is the official Lebanese examination at the end of Grade 9, the last year of the intermediate cycle. It covers the Grade 9 programme in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Life Sciences), Arabic, a foreign language (English or French) and other subjects.
How does EduRise help with the Brevet?
EduRise covers the Grade 9 programme chapter by chapter with lessons, explained practice questions and timed chapter exams, and adds timed Brevet-style mock exams (MCQ) across 6 subjects with automatic marking and answer review.
Are these the official past Brevet papers?
No. The mock exams on EduRise are practice papers written in the style of the Brevet to cover every chapter of the Grade 9 programme. EduRise is not affiliated with the Ministry of Education.
When should a student start preparing?
Ideally from the start of Grade 9: revise each chapter as it is taught, take the chapter exam, fix mistakes, and keep the mock exams for the last months before the Brevet. See our study guide on how to prepare for the Brevet.
How much does Brevet preparation cost?
Grade 9 access, including the mock exams, costs $10 per month or $80 per year.
